We are ready for Thanksgiving and a little turkey day football. We have posted our Free NFL Picks for Week 11. We are finally even after a terible week losing 13.3 units in week 5 and are now ready to score some cash.

We have 4 strong plays this week, with our strongest going on Thanksgiving with the Saints. Its time the Cowboys go back to playing like the Cowboys (bad) and the Saints are really heating up.

If you took our Free NFL Picks yesterday you had a pretty good day. Our biggest play of the season was the New England Patriots for 8 Units. While the final score became closer than what the game really was, the Patriots took it to the Steelers 39-26 getting 3.5 to 4 points. At the end of the third quarter the score was 23-3 and we were feeling pretty good.

The Steelers scored 23 points in the forth quarter, but it was never a game.

We have another strong play tonight with the Eagles over the Skins. We have it as a 3 unit play but it could realistically be a 4 or 5 unit play. When we have a lock like the Patriots last night we try to bet smaller on the other games just to minimize our exposure on other games. We don’t want to take the chance of giving back to much of our winnings from such a strong play.

Game 5 is set with Cliff Lee on the mound for the Rangers and Lincecum for the Giants. It’s a pitching repeat of Game 1, but we don’t think we will see the explosive offensive game we saw in Game 1.

If you still think the Rangers can win the series, BetUs still has odds on the series with the Rangers at +450. We think it will tough for the Rangers to win 3 straight but +450 is tempting. Who woulda thunk we would have had the explosive offensive game we saw last night?

Game 2 goes tonight at 8 pm est and BetUs has the line at Giants -115 and the Rangers -105.

Betting NFL teasers is one of our favorite things to do, and it can be yours as well using a little strategy. Almost all USA Online Sportsbooks offer teasers, and with a little common sense and this strategy it can be very profitable.

Teasers allow players to move the line in their favor for a price. All teasers must contain at least two teams, and are generally offered at 110/100 odds, meaning you lay $110 to win $100 on a 6 point teaser (you can also move the line more than 6 points for a higher price).

In a 6 point teaser, if a team is -6.5 then in your teaser you move the line to -.5, meaning the team must only win for the play to be successful. Likewise, if a team is +6.5, in your teaser the line moves to +12.5 and your team can lose by 12 points and it is still a winner.

In the NFL, lines of 3, 7 and 10 are very important numbers as they represent a field goal, a touchdown and the combination of both.  Using this strategy we will move the line across these very important numbers.

In the NFL we will look to “tease” the line on underdogs across these numbers. If a team is +1.5 to +2.5 we can tease the line past the 3 AND 7 making the line +7.5 to +8.5. Now our team can lose by a field goal or touchdown and we still win our wager. This is our best scenario, as the line dictates it should be a very close game with the favorite only favored by a point or two. Vegas is telling us they believe it will be a close game, and under our scenario we just gave ourselves a touchdown to play with.

If we cant find the above lines, we look to move the line past the 7 and 10 number. While this is not as optimal as the previous, it still can be very profitable.

This strategy does not work for teasing the favorite down. Many times bettors will want to tease the favorite down to a lower number. Say a team is -6, do not be tempted to take the team down to “pick em”. Under this scenerio you only cross the 3, and if a team is favored by less than a touchdown they very well may not win at all.
