Customer
Service:
Absolute Poker's mission statement is "To continue to be the best and most trusted",
and through personal experience they do strive to meet this goal. Their customer service is top notch with responses
being speedy and thorough.
Games Offered:
Absolute Poker
offers high and low limit Texas Hold'em, Omaha High, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, One on One,
and Tournaments (both Sit n Go and Multi's). Absolute Poker also offers Blackjack.
Bonus:
Absolute is the most aggressive established poker site when offering bonuses. Their initial Sign
up bonus is 100% match up to $500 of your deposit, but it doesn't stop there. On a regular basis Absolute Poker
also offers re-deposit bonuses ranging from 10% - 30% depending on the particular promotion (generally the bonus is 20%).
The bonus usually maxs at $200-$300, so thats $200-$300 per week in free bonus money. Absolute releases
the bonus in $5 increments when you reach 30 Absolute Bonus Points which are easy to earn. In ring games you
receive 1 point for every hand which has a rake of $.50 or more, so in 30 hands you can clear $5. For this reason Absolute
Poker is our #1 poker site for cash games, as what other site will give you $15 an hour at 100 hands per hour?! See
the Absolute Poker Bonus Review for full details on the bonus and clearing the bonus.
Site Traffic:
The site traffic at Absolute Poker is better than average, and finding cash games up to $5/$10 is
never a problem. Higher stakes games are available, however during off peak times can tough to find.
Sit
& Go Tournaments are offered up to $1,000 buy in, and heads up is easy to find up $500. Single table Sit & Go's
(6 and 9 player) are also offered up to $1,000 buy in and are readily available up to the $200 - $300 range. Above
those buy in's it could be as long as 15 minutes to get a game started.
Player
Competition:
The majority of players at Absolute Poker are mediocre to good at levels above $50
tournaments and $.50/$1 cash games. For cash games above $1/$2 the players are tight, as many of them are looking
to clear the bonus. If you can switch up your style of play, and either have a solid hand or knock someone off a hand,
you can take down some big pots. On a draw with some great pot odds we have taken some monsters and watched our
bankroll grow over 10x's in the matter of two hours at $2/$4 NL Hold'em. Several times, with the help of the
cards and some great calls have even seen our table buy in grow to over 30x's in the matter of an hour!
Rewards:
Absolute Rewards Points can be redeemed for cash, prizes or Tournament
Entries. Absolute also has a VIP Program where VIP players are invited to special freerolls and entered into Cash Tournaments
for free based on their VIP Level. Initially you earn one point for every dollar of rake or fee's you pay, but as
your VIP status grows so does your reward points multiplier. At the highest level you earn 3x's the points which
add up quickly which can be exchanged for cash, prizes or tournament entries. At the VIP Elite level you even earn 9%
interest on your account balance.
Other Features:
Absolute
Poker also offers a "Bad Beat Jackpot" on both Limit and No Limit ring games. You don't even have to be
part of the hand to get a percentage of the Jackpot. If a player at your table hits the Jackpot, as long as you were
dealt cards at the beginning of the hand you get a percentage of the Jackpot.
Summary:
In general, Absolute Poker is a great site and highly recommended by us and those who have played the site. The traffic volume is very good, and
the variety of games Absolute offers is outstanding. Customer Service is knowledgeable and withdraws are processed fast.
If you haven't played at Absolute Poker it is definitely worth giving them a try, and if your a cash game player, this
is what we feel is the best poker site available not only for the bonuses offered, but also because of the loyalty program.
As your VIP level increases so does your benefits.
