Bet the Big Game

January 30th, 2012 Comments off

The big game is just days away with the Patriots and Giants going at it for the title. The Pats are a 3 point favorite and we will see if the Giants defense can hold the explosive Patriots offense at bay.

This is the biggest single day of sports wagering of the year. We have put together a list of the Best Super Bowl Sportsbooks. The list short for a reason, we only recommend the most highly regarded and trustworthy sportsbooks available. All accept USA players and have great deposit options for USA residents.

Be sure to shop around to get the best line. We doubt it moves off the 3 points but some bo0ks may move the line to 3.5 as more action is laid.

If you also like playing poker see our listing of the top USA online poker sites available.

NFL Football is on

July 26th, 2011 Comments off

While we always thought it would happen, we were so pleased with the announcement the players union and owners came to an agreement to bring us the NFL season for 2011. Now is the perfect time to get your ducks in a row and choose the best online sportsbooks and open a few accounts.

We have a listing of USA online sportsbooks but our list is short. We have been betting on sports for over 20 years and have used our share of good and bad books. We only have listed the top 3 online sportsbooks which we consider to be the best and have great reputations for fast payouts and stability. Also check out our NFL teaser strategy which add some serious cash to your bankroll!

Our top online sportsbooks is Intertops. Intertops has been in the online sports betting business since 1983! How many other offshore sportsbooks have been around that long? We don’t know of a single one. Sign up at the Intertops Sportsbook and either receive a free $20 bet or get a 100% match on your first deposit up to $100. For more information see our Intertops Sportsbook review for full details and sign up.

The other two books we recommend are BetOnline.com and Bodog. Both are solid books and accept USA residents. Bodog has been a dominant force in the online gaming world for over 15 years and BetOnline has been in business for 10 years. While BetOnline is our youngest recommended sportsbook, the management staff there all have extensive backgrounds in the industry and know the business very well. For more details on both sportsbooks see the Bodog Sportsbook review and the BetOnline.com review.

We highly recommend you sign up at a few different sportsbooks, minimum of two. The difference in the lines you find could turn a mediocre season into a great season!

Choosing the Best SuperBowl Sportsbook

February 5th, 2011 Comments off

Well the big game is tomorrow and Aaron Rodgers should get his first ring (hopefully). There is some serious money to be made on the Superbowl. Take the Packers and the over for equal amounts and cash out big.

If your not a regular sports bettor make sure you choose a sportsbook that will give you a nice bonus. We recommend you go with the PlayersOnly Sportsbooks or the Bodog Sportsbook because both give a 10% cash bonus on your first deposit. We have put together a list of the best Super Bowl sportsbooks and they get our top 2 picks.

Both offer regular action on the side or total, but also play the many proposition bets. Proposition bets are fun and you can wager on anything from the coin toss to how many TD’s Rodgers will throw and everything in between.

Good luck on the game and Go Pack Go!

Wild Card Weekend

January 8th, 2011 Comments off

They are finally here – the NFL playoffs!

Wild Card Weekend kicks off today with the Saints against a Seattle team that does not even deserve to be in the playoff’s. The Saints are a 10.5 point fav, and while Seattle is really that bad, 10.5 for a bruised and battered Saints Team may be a little too much.

We think the Jets will take care of business in Indy getting 2.5 points. We love Payton Manning but he’s a one man show this year, and Sanchez and the rest of the Jets will leave Indy with a win.

Tomorrow features the Ravens and KC and the Pack up against Vick and the Eagles. The Ravens should take care of business but KC could pull the upset at home.

The Packers can beat anyone in the NFC, and while the are not playing great ball, they are playing good enough to beat the Eagles. Look for Aaron Rodgers to get his his first Playoff win tomorrow in Philly.

Don’t get left out in the cold with a bad book. Use our top recommended USA Friendly Sportsbooks and also get a great bonus at sign up.

We posted an NFL teaser strategy back in the early part of season which works even better during the playoffs. Vegas usually does a good job with the number during the playoffs and a teaser is a great money making tool. Some books will limit the action on teasers during the playoffs so you may need to shop around a few books.

NFL Teaser Strategy

October 19th, 2010 Comments off

Betting NFL teasers is one of our favorite things to do, and it can be yours as well using a little strategy. Almost all USA Online Sportsbooks offer teasers, and with a little common sense and this strategy it can be very profitable.

Teasers allow players to move the line in their favor for a price. All teasers must contain at least two teams, and are generally offered at 110/100 odds, meaning you lay $110 to win $100 on a 6 point teaser (you can also move the line more than 6 points for a higher price).

In a 6 point teaser, if a team is -6.5 then in your teaser you move the line to -.5, meaning the team must only win for the play to be successful. Likewise, if a team is +6.5, in your teaser the line moves to +12.5 and your team can lose by 12 points and it is still a winner.

In the NFL, lines of 3, 7 and 10 are very important numbers as they represent a field goal, a touchdown and the combination of both.  Using this strategy we will move the line across these very important numbers.

In the NFL we will look to “tease” the line on underdogs across these numbers. If a team is +1.5 to +2.5 we can tease the line past the 3 AND 7 making the line +7.5 to +8.5. Now our team can lose by a field goal or touchdown and we still win our wager. This is our best scenario, as the line dictates it should be a very close game with the favorite only favored by a point or two. Vegas is telling us they believe it will be a close game, and under our scenario we just gave ourselves a touchdown to play with.

If we cant find the above lines, we look to move the line past the 7 and 10 number. While this is not as optimal as the previous, it still can be very profitable.

This strategy does not work for teasing the favorite down. Many times bettors will want to tease the favorite down to a lower number. Say a team is -6, do not be tempted to take the team down to “pick em”. Under this scenerio you only cross the 3, and if a team is favored by less than a touchdown they very well may not win at all.

We hope you find this post useful, and happy wagering. If you need a sportsbook to use check out the BetOnline review, they are very reputable and offer all types of wagers or see all USA Online Sportsbooks.
